Reflecting 17 years of experience managing FMCG  market leaders, Stephen's appointment as Marketing Director of Meadowhall led to the development of a consultancy service applied across numerous UK shopping centres. 

The essence of the approach is to focus marketing resources on the Centre's catchment, using geodemographic data to target shoppers, uniting tenants into seasonal promotions and supporting this with social media and in-mall graphics.

Linked to this activity, programmes of in-mall events entertained shoppers and had a direct, measurable impact on visit frequency, party size, dwell-time and spend.

This simple but effective strategy led the British Retail Property Association to describe these initiatives as 'Creative and first-class uses of service charge funding'.
